AliExpress Size Chart

AliExpress uses Asian sizing — here is exactly what to order based on your Spain/EU size.

The single most important rule: Asian sizes run 1 to 2 sizes smaller than the equivalent EU size. If you are an M in Spain, order L or XL on AliExpress.

What size should I order on AliExpress?

Order one to two sizes larger than your usual EU size. Asian sizing is cut for average East Asian body measurements, so it is narrower and shorter than an EU size with the same label. A woman who wears M locally will usually order L or XL, and a man who wears L will order XL or 2XL.

Why are AliExpress sizes inconsistent?

Because there is no binding Chinese sizing standard. Every manufacturer cuts to its own internal spec, so one seller's XL can be another seller's M. That is why any conversion table — including this one — is a starting point, and the only number you can truly rely on is the measurement in centimetres.

How do I measure correctly before ordering?

Measure a garment that already fits you, not your body. Lay a shirt you like flat, measure the width from armpit to armpit, double it — that is the chest circumference to compare against the seller's table. For shoes: stand on a sheet of paper, mark from heel to longest toe, and measure in centimetres.

Where do I find the seller's size table?

On the product page itself, usually as an image inside the photo gallery or at the bottom of the description. That table always overrides a general chart, because it describes the specific cut of that item. If a product page has no size table at all, treat it as a warning sign and ask the seller in chat before buying.

What if the size that arrives does not fit?

Open a dispute through the order while Buyer Protection is still active. If the seller published a size table and the item falls outside it, that is a legitimate ground for a refund — attach photos of the item next to a ruler. If you picked the wrong size and the seller did not mislead you, an exchange at your own shipping cost is the usual outcome.

Frequently asked questions about AliExpress sizes

An Asian L is roughly an EU 38-40 for women and an EU 48-50 for men. In practice it fits closer to a local M than a local L, so someone who wears L will usually order XL.

An Asian S corresponds to about an EU 34-36 for women, with a bust of 80-84 cm. It is noticeably smaller than a European S and mainly suits people who wear XS locally.

Chinese shoe sizes are almost identical to European ones — a Chinese 40 is an EU 40-41. The difference is small, but the cut is narrower, so choose by foot length in centimetres rather than by the size number.

One size for regular clothing, and two sizes for fitted items such as jeans, sportswear and swimwear. Items that are explicitly sold as oversized need no adjustment.

By height in centimetres, not by age. Asian kids sizes are labelled with the height itself — a size 120 is meant for a child 110-115 cm tall. Choosing by age almost always results in a size that is too small.

No. There is no binding Chinese sizing standard and every manufacturer cuts to its own spec. Always prefer the size table shown on the specific product page over any general chart.
