On AliExpress you'll find smart lighting, security cameras, sensors and wifi plugs at very competitive prices, often below what the same categories cost in physical stores. In this guide I'll explain which types of devices are worth it, how to choose well and what to check before buying. The idea is simple: spend little, automate everyday tasks and gain comfort and security at home without complicating your life.

Why buy smart home gadgets on AliExpress

The main reason is price. On Ali Express, well-known manufacturers coexist with emerging brands that offer very similar products for considerably less money. In addition, most of these devices work with standard apps like Tuya Smart or Smart Life, compatible with Alexa and Google Home.

Another advantage is variety. You can start with a single wifi plug to try it out and, little by little, expand the system. By using common apps, almost everything is controlled from the same phone, without mixing different programs. That greatly simplifies day-to-day management.

Smart lighting: the easiest way to start

Lighting is the ideal starting point. It's cheap, installs in seconds and the change is noticeable from day one. On AliExpress you have three main options:
