If you wanted a hands-free high-pressure setting you could leave running, this is not that. Some reviews flag this as a negative; I think it is actually more practical for most use cases, but it is worth knowing before you buy.

What would you normally get at this price?

I tested this with the assumption that it would be a cheap imitation of those. It is not quite the same build quality — the plastic feels utilitarian rather than premium — but the mechanical function is solid, it does not leak, and the rotation holds up over regular use. For renters or anyone who just wants a functional upgrade without commitment, the value ratio is hard to argue with.

Buy it if your faucet sprays water in the wrong direction and you have learned to live with it. Buy it if you want a low-cost, no-plumber upgrade that works in an apartment you do not own. Buy it if the combination of rotation, filter, and flow modes at this price sounds useful for your kitchen routine.

Skip it if your faucet has a non-standard thread size and you are not sure it will fit. Skip it if you need a hands-free continuous high-pressure mode. Skip it if you are looking for actual water filtration rather than sediment-catching.

Verdict: not glamorous, not a must-have, but a genuinely practical upgrade for a price where expectations are easy to meet. It does what it says, fits most faucets, and stays put. That is more than most $5 purchases manage.
